Church-Wide Bible Reading Plan in 2021

In September of 2020 several leaders at Grace felt the same stirring from the Spirit. How can we fight against the never-ending stream of media that is discipling our people? Do we want Netflix, the news media, and Facebook to dwell richly in the hearts of God’s people? No! We want Colossians 3:16 to be true of us, “Let the word of Christ dwell richly among you, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts”.

Thousands of voices are attempting to convince you how to think. Let’s be a people who can say:

How happy are those whose way is blameless,

who walk according to the Lord’s instruction!

Happy are those who keep his decrees

and seek him with all their heart.

Psalm 119:1-2

In 2021 we are going to see and savor the Lord by reading the whole Bible together. Scripture is the very word of the Lord delivered to His people. This is a marvelous reality; God wrote a book. He is not silent. We are not left to wonder what He’s like. He has plainly revealed Himself in Scripture. How incredible!

  • Get ready to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18)!

  • Get ready to grow closer to one another as we gaze at the beauty of God!

  • Get ready to see God work powerfully among us!

Here’s the format:

Four chapters, with a quick expository devotional by D.A. Carson, equates to 20-30 minutes of reading a day. Everything you need is accessed by clicking this link on your phone, tablet, or computer. There’s even a PDF you can print out and keep in your Bible.

Be on the lookout for more communication over the next 2 months. We will be posting videos, writing blogs, and considering how God will speak to us during this time. I’m pumped to read with you, church!

Go here to commit to reading with your family this year!
